# Add Brand

Brands are the top-level organizations under your client account. Each brand represents a distinct entity that will have its own operators, users, and moderation settings. Think of brands as separate business units or sub-companies that need independent moderation management.

## When to Add Brands

- Setting up a new business entity
- Creating separate moderation environments
- Organizing different product lines or markets
- Establishing regional operations

## Adding a Brand

The new brand will appear in your brands list on the **Dashboard**. The brand card will show the creation date and current status.

## Cascading Effects of Brand Settings

When you edit settings at the brand level, these changes cascade down to all associated operators:

- **Status Changes**: Disabling a brand will affect all its operators
- **Configuration Updates**: Moderation settings applied at brand level become defaults for operators
- **User Permissions**: Brand-level user assignments provide access to all operators under that brand

## Important Notes

> **Brand Management**
>
> - Brand names should be unique and easily identifiable
> - Once created, brands become the parent container for all its operators
> - Disabling a brand affects all its operators and users
> - You cannot delete a brand that has active operators unless you remove them first

## Next Steps

After creating a brand, you'll typically want to:

1. **Add operators**

Organize different languages or regional variations.

2. **Configure brand-level settings**

Define moderation policies and default behavior for all operators under this brand.

3. **Set up API keys**

Generate API keys for integration with your systems.

4. **Invite moderators**

Invite team members to manage the brand's content.
